Before the 1st apocalypse 748 o.C. the area was part of the territory Ar-mak in the old empire. The whole jungleplateau got lost in the deep while the last battles of the demongod war. According to insaani myths, the god Okeanos had beaten his demonic opponent Ifrit, which body is assumed to rest deep in the ocean. Today, ship travelling is forbidden by the Kalifate Hatrapedi.
