One of the many mysteries of Legonia are the Cyclop statues, (It isn’t actually sure they are legonian) Very little is known about these anorganic creatures. The statues excist but no one knows who or what made them or where they come from, all other info on them is based on legends an assumptions, a main accepted theory is that the Cyclops came from another world (but no evidence of that has ever been found)

Culture

The Cyclops can be find mainly in the most western regions of Legonia, they stand inside old strange temples or are buried in the ground. Though they consist out of hard stone they are immune against elemental magic, many mages have tried to gain control over a statue but never succeeded, there is a different kind of magic that drives the ancient statues.

Everything else known about them is based on stories from the past, It is believed their activity stopped in 1008 o.C. some people though believe the Cyclops never where a living species.

The most interesting theory mentions an extinct race that came from another world to Legonia, they would have build the Cyclops as their workers (or army ? ) Cyclops would have been tools that could be controlled by the ancient race. Some legends refer to a magical scepter that would give its wielder ultimate control over all statues, though many have gone looking in the hopes of using the cyclops as an army but such scepter has never been found. The remains of Temples can still be found, they hold strange paterned walls and drawings refering to some sort of portal that would have been the door the ancient race would have used to get in Legonia but like the scepter, such portal has never been found.

The statues can be found all over, some are buried others are given a place in the central square of cities, they don't respond to anything though.

History

The last time Cyclops activity was witnessed was during the forging of an artefact in the Bay of Eternity in 1008 o.C. ( A Gathering) This happening itself is considered a legend by most races though. according to legend the Cyclops would have helped in forging a magical blade, the blade is a combination of different rare metals and one of those would have been brought by the Cyclops from another world. The legend also refers to a certain Demonic Dragon that was also part of the gathering, so there actually is a being in Legonia that knows the thruth about the mysterious statues.
