A golem is a magical or godly created being based on a massive natural but dead resource. So there can be golems made of stone, ice, metall, gold and many more. Living trees or plants are their own races like dryads or ents, also not massive elements like fire, wind or water. Creatures based on these are called Elementals.
A golem is known to be strong and nearly immortal except killed in combat. Different than elementals, the golems aren't known having a higher intelligence or mind.
Golems were found in the northern mountains, dwarven peak, the Ahl'shiara mountains, and many more places outside of human civilization.
