The Wolfpack is a criminal organisation operating all over North Legonia.

Background

While the Outlaw Hills went into chaos in their independence war in the 1490's crime increased jerkly. After the idol of Sir Bodin Rhoo and his Black Foresters, many rogues and thiefs started to create their own groups. A growing influence gained an organisation named "The Wolfpack". The first official mentioning happened 1506 o.C. when some ambassadors of the wolfpack declared their responsibility for the assassination of King Mathias from Eagle Kingdom. Until end of the 1620's the wolfpack gained influence through all levels of society in Outlaw Hills and Middle Kingdom, later also the Northern Kingdom. King Leopold let hunted them and most of the main thief lords get prisoned or killed. But today ther're still thief guilds in nearly every bigger city of North Legonia running under the wolfpack's sign, a silver wolf on black or brown background.

Culture/Behaviour

File:CWolfpack.jpg Unlike the Black Foresters, the wolfpack doesn't know any rules of right and false, so they also kidnapp women and children or murder. They only respect each other or other criminal minds, what doesn't prevent from robbing each other. Their daily buisness can variate from robbery, kidnapping, smuggling, corruption to assassination. There's no archetype of a member because every prooven criminal mastermind can join one of the thief guilds. These can be found in many cities, are loosely structured and independent but somehow linked. The guilds are more a criminal social network than organisations. The membership obligates not to steal or betray each other (but they're still doing) and to share information. In exchange, the local guilds offer help if you're hunted by the guards and you get information of secret hideouts to hide, sleep, trade smuggle goods, get quests or entertain. To be a member means to be one of the best rogues in North Legonia. The local thief guild is mostly lead by a thief lord, who is the best mind to control activities. With the information, he gets from other rogues, he can organize own bigger coups or plan mercenary buisness. He's the man where killers get their jobs and smugglers can sell or store their goods. It seems, that most wolfpack members want to be remembered so they often show their power in big deals like killing a current king for example. In fights, most prefer small stealth weapons like daggers, knives, tiny sabres or bows and crossbows.
