Goblins
From Legonia
Goblins, or also kobolds, gremlins, imps etc., is the term for several subraces, which can be maximal as tall as a dwarf but moslty much slimmer. Most goblin races hate it, if they're called kobolds or different because these words always describe just a specific subgroup. Honestly, no human can difference, because it seems, that ther're hundreds of subgroups.
Biology
All Goblins are small like a human child and most have long, sharped ears and noses, mostly pale skins and just a few hairs. The ordinary goblin is too weak for being a great warrior or worker, but in big groups they can defend themselves.
Like the elves, goblins belong to the natural born mages, and their alchemists are famous for their skills.
Goblins can become extremily old. The official affirmed oldest goblin was 465-years.
Culture
The subgroups are different but the main behaviours are similiar.
Goblins are nosy and inquisitive, so they always search for something new, for northlegonian goblins it's real wisdom and education, for hill, forest or swamp kobolds it can be just someone to play or annoy, the more agressive gremlins always try to eat everything.
This fact was the main reason, why the original goblin culture spread all over the world. Many also live ful integrated in human societies like Azuran or Blueheaven. Pure goblin settlements can be found rarely in the Ahl'shiara mountains or in abandoned corners of Legonia.
Goblin groups
Too many to count but the Book of Legonia mentions some, which can be different in appearance and social behavious:
- northlegonian goblin (Middle and Northern Kingdom; intelligent and gently)
- forest, hill and swamp kobolds (very small and annoying)
- Treegoblin (Elven forest; looks like a small tree)
- Magor (An orcish wargnome race on the eastern continent)
- Gremlins (An all eating plague, very tiny)
