The Dragon tree is a not very imposing small and thin tree, that can be found in the Forgotten Kingdom, Leonidas aand Draco Regno often but only rarely in the northern lands.
Because of its dark, burned-looking bark and strong lumber it's called dragontree. It's not sure, that dragons prefer to live near them but many people say so. Especially in the Northern Kingdom the rare tree is seen as a sign for a near dragon shelter.
The Dragontree has also big, darkgreen leaves but just a few, so it's able to survive in hard cold or hot environments which haven't much water. This explains the big spread at the southern border of the desert of Ark'tohl.
