Swampthing

The swampthing is a not near described creature living or better said assumed in many moors, marshes and swamps. When people get lost in the swamps of Moorflüt it's said, the swampthing ate them. When described, e.g. in bard's tales the swampthing consists of at least 2 slimy tentacles while the main part of its body always hides in the water/marsh. Some theories say, the witch circles of Moorflüt are able to control the creature or even created it magically.

If it really exists, being an animal, a demon or something other, is not clear.
