Everything in nature is based on elemental materials like in every world. In Legonia we devide the term elements in several meanings.

Chemical elements
Under chemical elements all physical basic materials are meant. The chemical elements in Legonia are not the same as in earth history because legonian scientists and alchemists don't know much about atoms, protons, electrones etc.. So, many real elements are unknown, and many minerals are seen as undevidable elements e.g. many crystals.
But wise people already know, that bronze and steel is made of basic minerals and that wood consists of different parts like water, bio-mass, oxygen etc., so simple chemical effects like explosions or fire can be explained basicly and important for most alchemistic experiments. The legonian science is a mix of truths and untruths and only the richest and most intelligent have basic knowlegde like the blue mages or goblin alchemists.

- real: Gold, silver, iron, oxygen
- false: Water, crystals, dirt, Ice
Holy elements
For theologists and normal citizen, the chemical elements aren't important, they just talk about the holy elements, which have natural magical abilities.
In most cultures 5 holy elements are known and praised because these were given by the first god, the big something.
The Circle of elements in the Skorpion Emirates praises 5 main gods as guardians over these.
Earth
As first element, earth holds the power to link everything together like the world's crust the continents of Legonia.
After Ark'tohlian religion, the god Arkos had given the power over this element to his son Onyxo, who holds the world's crust together.
Water
The element of living, nature, fertility and a very important one in all cultures.
The Ark'tohl pantheon praises the god Okeanos as master of water and guardian of the oceans.
Wind
Wind stands for the power of all thoughts, creativity, intelligence and freedom. Without wind, there's no change, no ideas, no intelligent or feeling races.
So also in very basic religions winds and storms are seen as mythological signs, e.g. the Troggs believe, that a storm is something bad but rain clouds means changes.
The Ark'tohlian gods gave the power over this element to Airos.
Fire
Fire was the last created element and became part of the nature about 200 o.C. when the first dragons were viewed, althought about 0 o.C. the first vulcano errupted.
So, in North-Legonia, dragons are the masters of fire and it can be something dangerous, in the Skorpion Emirates, the god Arkos controls it and it stands for power.
Mana
Mana is the element of magic.
