The first war between 2 civilisations were 528-539 o.C. .
Reasons
When dwarven explorers and elvish archers met at the big river first time, both groups didn't know each other or even thought of another intelligent race. They only saw their differences, the elves lived in peace with nature while the dwarves robbed its resources to build kingdoms, so the first encounter ended bloody.
From dwarven historians it's known that king Murlasch prefered diplomatic solutions, but whenever both races met each other, a fight came quickly.
The War
Caused by the long distance between elven forests and dwarven kingdom, the war was cold for long time. Nethertheless, outposts and travellers got lost periodically.
After the dwarvenkingAgrulm was crowned, a more offensive tactic started. In the 80's several elven settlements north of the big river were burned away.
538 o.C. the first and also last big battle between armies end the war. In the battle at Big River about 200 dwarven axemen and 200 elvish warriors killed each other. After both factions realized, that the other race is same strong and the war would destroy their kingdoms, they started disscussions for peace. The battle was also the first time, the kingdoms leaders met each other.
Results
- Division of Westlegonia: The elves devided the continent by increasing the Big River with magic. The dwarven kingdoms stayed in the north, the elves controlled the southern forests
- The contact brooke until 1007 o.C.
- Until today, dwarves and elves are rivals.
- The contact of both worlds
