Description
The Kingdom of Golden Virginia is a well populated city state between Morica and the Golden gulf. The city itself is mainly made up of three parts : the Western Castle, the Eastern Castle and the new Wessex House (replacing the former Wessex Castle build) The design of the House is based on the Western Castle, details have been kept the same or similar all be-it an extra second floor on the House. The Gatehouse and surrounding wall is identical to that of the Eastern Castle.

Culture
Growing by migration, Golden Virginia is becoming a liberal and open society. Different cultures from poor to rich people and different religions are accepted and united under the banner of the royal house. Regulary festivals and tournaments and the general poverty fullfill the system of bread and circusses in combination with a big loyality and proudness to the royals.
The people are friendly and open-minded to visitors and welcome most travellers and traders. Only the orcs are seen as real menace while political intrigues from the morican Inquisition or demon whorshipping cults are not detected caused by a naive world view. Most people don't know much about other races or the magical world outside the naughboured territory. Good relationships exist to Morica, Ianus, Castallani and partly to the north while the Morican Inquisition see the liberal Virginian society as lost non-believers and demon cults see the kingdom as easy victim. Surely, dangerous individuals are living in Golden Virginia undercover. So, the Utopia, which survived for many years could face evil conspiracies.

Economy
Main rason for the big poverty of the kingdom were the treasures brought by refugees from Morica while the orc wars. Most people invested their belongings in financial products used for building up the giant settlement. Saved from the battles with the orcs, Golden Virginia grew up quickly and became an important trade and economy center.
The Virginian fleet build up a trade network with Ianus, Castallani, Morica and other settlements. So, exotic goods can be bought to sell into the inland of Morica and other way round. The kingdom itself produces different artistic goods, jewelry, parfumes and other luxury while food, horses and minerals have to be imported in big masses. Rich royals from connected empires save their treasures in the bank of Golden Virgninia, which reinvest the money in the trade network. Also, salt mines at the Golden gulf are used to gain salt. Former quarries delivered the stones from which the city was build. Other income is created by academies which train soldiers, philosophes, artists and sorcerors from other countries.
Military
The whole city is build as fortress and so big walls with battlements, secret traps and cannons are able to save its citizen in case of a siege. Main military buildings are the western and the eastern castle but civil buildings are partly integrated in all parts of the city.
Though untouched by enemies, the city state has a strong and well trained army to defend. About 400 official soldiers serve the royality to guard the western and eastern castles and the wessex house. Aside, a military draft for all male citizen train people for the case of a siege, so several thousand people are ready to fight. An offensive force or warmachines doesn't exist because Golden Virginia is in no war. Most of the continental merchant caravanes do train and pay private escortes to defend their travels.
The 13 knights
The 13 knights refer to 2 elite groups with each 13 knights, so 26 elite soldiers. One group is clothed in silver armor and the other onein colourful armors. The silver ones are lead by the heirs of the kingdom, the colourful elite is commanded directly by the king. Because Golden Virginia is in no war, their main mission is to represent the military on official events like tournaments and to guard the king on hunt travels etc. . Their main order is to protect the royal family. The 26 elite soldiers are the best warriors of the kingdom and bound to the royal family by a pact to serve them until death.
