Description
The NEW AGE is an expression for the current epoch in North- Legonia, which starts with the Year 0 n.C. and include several changes in politics, society and science.
It can be compared to the european renaissance.
Background
Time of war
After centuries of wars, the northern kingdoms of the western continent hadn't fight each other for 60 years. A time of peace was only interrupted by the undead invasion of the black army 1645-1648 o.C. . This war united dwarves, humans and elves of the northern lands and started the current time of peaceful relationship.
Discoveries
While peace and interactions, northlegonian science and technology begins to develop quickly. Better ships allows to explore far islands and even continents. The viking mission of Captain Haldir 0 n.C. discovered the eastern continent and opened new possibilities.
New Menaces
Unfortunately, while the last battle of the undead invasion 1648 o.C. at the demon portal in Dragonia Vulcania, the prison spell, which holds the demons inside got damaged a little. An old rumour say, that once damaged, the ancient prison would become dangerous all 3000 years. So, the kings of northlegonia decided to start a new chronology.
On other side people found a new enemy in the orcish hordes who live on the new discovered continent. It's unclear which threats they would find, too.
Begin of New Age
Different events were signs, which are seen as official begin of the new age.

- Rediscovering of old tales and wisdom (e.g. artifacts, scrolls or forgotten races)
Topics of New Age
Every culture of the north has important changes while the new time.
- The Middle and Northern Kingdoms face a time of peace and development but the discovery of the eastern continent also started a rush for colonies, expeditions and treasure searching. It's unclear if new possibilities would unite or devide the king's alliance.
- The vikings revived older traditions of being sea explorers after there's noone to fight anymore. Expeditions explores the new continent, but battles against orcs begin to become another problem.
- With the new continent, the elves found long forgotten brothers again. The fire and shadow elves are discovered.
- A small group of heroes is searching for a long forgotten magical weapon, an ancient sword forged just after the dragon rush.
- New forces come up in the northern world in the west and far north...
