An independent blacksmith city populated by tough humans and dwarves with a scattering of other races. Steelhaven is built into a mountain and partially underground and partially aboveground. Steelhaven is a huge walled city made with ten feet thick walls and is very isolated.

History

Culture

Consisting of outlaws, banished people and different races, Steelhaven is less structured and most parts are own societies with own life-made laws. The official governmental system is anarchy so bandit lords and secret councils rule over their own groups. The most important groups are the thief guilds, the merchant guild, the craftsmenguild, the guardian guild the mages and the ferocious dwarves. A city council called council of iron organize the defence and general order but most members are corrupted by money, blood or magic. The most important celebrity is the king of the ferocious dwarves, who control most dwarves in Steelhaven. Other members of the council of iron are rich merchants, the strongest warriors in the guardian guild and the heads of other guilds.

You can't await help or respect in Steelhaven, only money, strength, and influence is respected. If you're visiting the city for a good buisness you'll be welcome, if you're a nobody, it can be that you get killed in a dark corner without reason but you can gain respect and become a beloved citizen.

A cultural or religious background doesn't exist but all kind of life is represented in smaller or bigger minorities. As freedom activities mostly fights, bets and drinking is spreaded.

Economy

Only small bands of traders leave to sell the beautiful and hardy metalwork of the city to other nations.

Military

The city defence is organized by the guardian guild, a group of more idealistic warriors who believe in the free system of Steelhaven. Basicly, most citizen are armored and able to use weapons.
