Under the term "the black mage" everybody in the northern lands points the evil black mage, who leaded the black army in its invasion of north Legonia 1645-48 o.C. .

Not much is known about his origin or private character, only a few has seen him privately, and most information are based on rumours and inventions. What can be clearly said, is that the black mage is a human living isolated in Deadwood most time of his life. He was a strong follower of a demon church and far experienced in black magic. According to different rumours, his home was a skull-shaped dark tower in Deadwood.

Plans of evil

Around 1627 o.C. the first forces of the black army were sighted in the forests of Deadwood and at same time, mentionings of an evil mage controlling the undead spread their words in the shire Totenfelde. As follower of demon gods the goal of the undead invasion was nothing less than the destruction of human kingdoms. 1645 o.C. the black mage attacked the Lion fortress in Middle Kingdom and kidnapped king Leo III's daughter. At same time, begin of 1646 o.C., another force was sent north to involve the Northern Kingdom into war. Later, the kings found out that both crusades were supposed as gamesmenship, while the main force headed to Dragonia Vulcania. The black mage's real plan was to find an ancient demon portal and help prisoned demon gods to escape. In the battle at the demon portal 1648 o.C. he lost. Until today, his corpse was never found so we can't be sure if he's still alive or was killed.
