History

  • ~900 o.C.: First goblin scriptures mention the term "Tronorma" and living plant-creatures coming from this island.
  • ~1000 o.C.: Goblins settled on Tronorma
  • 14th century: When the ice age began, some dwarves left the western continent and later arrived on the island. Quickly, they began to life in peace with the ents.
  • 1421 o.C.: The settlement of Fanamdur was founded and so the Kingdom Tronorma under king Thur Fanam'aik.
  • 1430 o.C.: Fanamdur became a fortress to be defendable against orcish pirates.
  • 1508 o.C.: Fanam'aik dies without children, so a short dispute between his generals started. Finally, a goblin mage helped to decide for the next king and so Thur Magni Trombolsch became king.

Politics

King of Tronorma is the Thur, which is an old dwarven word for leader. Under the Thur, his high generals are responsible for administrative duties and law-making. The Thur has the final veto-right in everything and owns the command over the troops.

A strict monarchy is not set yet because the first Thur hadn't any kids. Thur Magni Trombolsch was a young general and elected to the king by the high generals. Also he is still single and very old so the political future is unsure.

Culture

The ents and dwarves have mixed their cultures together. They have a culture that worship a dwarf god called Guardasho'lum and believes that nature spirits live in ents when they are dormant. The goblins remained mischievous living in the woods.

Economy

The Tronormians like fishing and cultivate vegetables and fruits together with the ents. Also honey is produced but only low mining or crafting. The goblins sell alchemistic goods and collected herbs. All in all, Tronorma is friendly, calm and peaceful but not very rich.

Military

The Tronormian culture is peaceful and accepting foreign visitors, even orcs as long as they're not hostile. The contacts to the eastern continent is low but in case of attacks the dwarves and Ents are able to defend. The official tronormian army just counts about 200 men. Most of them are stationed in the fortress of Fanamdur, Tronorma's only stronghold.
