History & Culture

In ancient times, Ba'tohl was a people living at border regions of the jungle, but in the powerful years of the Ark'tohl Empire is got enslaved. Around 1563 o.C. the last prooven free tribes got killed or enslaved. Their origin is unknown but their weaker bodies let assume that they were farmers and collectors instead of hunters. Also, they eat strict vegetarian.

Integrated as working caste of the Skorpion Emirates, the Ba’tohlians (by humans just called blueskins) lost their complete culture and history.

Now, they work as crafters, farmers or in other easy worthless jobs. They have nearly no rights, but some lucky men are able to support the Skorpion army.

Subgroups

The culture itself is splitted because every family decides different how to survive. While most had acceppted their poor destiny, a few choose their own way.

Ba'tohlians & Revolution

Because Ba'tohlians are as intelligent as humans many think, they should have same rights and refuse the Emirate's society order. Those, who are brave and encouraged enough, met each other secretly to plan revolutions. But against the Skorpion army, their chances of success are extremily low.

Ba'tohlians & the army

Ba’tolians aren’t allowed to become warriors, so the few guys working for the Skorpion army become chariot drivers or slave guardians. They are payed better and live on higher standarts in these positions than normal blueskins, so they sold their soul and honour to support families, feed their children etc. But in their own race, they are hated, because they support the army, who enslaved and destroyed their father’s world formerly.
