The Temp’la originated in the eastern content of Legonia, living in the area called the Lakelands. There many lakes surrounding one great completely circular lake, called the lakescenter, held together by some magic. They have now moved to every known landmass in Legonia, forming colonies wherever water can be found.
Temp’la can be split into two groups, the water-wavers and land-dwellers. The majority of Temp’la are water-wavers, but with the expanding word, many of the Temp’la are becoming a mix of water-wavers and land-dwellers.
Water-wavers
Water-wavers live in the water, forming underwater homes from the available supplies. They are not fond of land, but if needed they will travel on it for food and other needs.
Land-dwellers
Land-dwellers are Temp’la that have adapted and live on land, building structures out of wood and stone. They still live close to the shores of water as they are great connected to it, but are known to travel far on land being adventurous and curious of the outside world.
Politics
The Temp’la have one ruler called the Temp’lar. He controls all, and is chosen by the “earth-mother” though the sacred stone. Communities also have their leaders, but all must answer to the Temp’lar. There have been several Temp’lar to this time, each of them giving prosperity to the Temp’la people.
Allies & Enemies
The Temp’la have peaceful relations with all other races other than the Trolls, Orcs, Troggs, Goblins, and Ogres. They have a special bond with the Agami as result of similar roots. The have an odd fascination with the human race, and are the most welcoming to humans. Many humans have been accepted, and even allowed to join the Temp’la communities, becoming one of the people. All humans are formally introduced to the Temp’la community by the Temp’lar himself, and receive a horn, which if ever blown, Temp’la in the area will hear and will come to the aid of their bond-brother or similar-sister.
Culture
They respect nature, and all their actions is based around “earth-mother”. They are peaceful to all, and are valiant in helping the “bond-brothers” or “similar sisters”. They have no Religion, yet are not agnostic. Temp’la believe that nature is the ultimate “god”, and believe that all the gods of other races are just odd interpretations of nature.
The Temp’la are a curious and reckless race amidst their peacefulness. They love to learn, travel, invent and they are very curious of all that moves.
Temp’la have a great interest in the arts, loving music, dance and other forms of art. Many great kings have asked Temp’la painters to paint them as of their skill.
Architecture
Architecture is also very poplar in the Temp’la race, and their architects can be also found working for other races, creating buildings of all sorts.
Temp’la architecture is that of many arches, having a mystical flowing look. They have communities with many homes, and larger communities have been found to have libraries, schools and other of such community services.
The Temp’lar lives in a fortress in and under the lakescenter. This is the stronghold of the Temp’la people. Few have ever entered here, and those that enter hardly ever leave, as for it’s beauty.
Language
Temp’la like to talk by pairing words with the letters of their ending or beginning as seen with water-waver, or land-dweller. For example the sentence “I will Travel” might be said “I Travel-long” or “I Move-more”. This makes it hard for some other races to understand what the Temp’la are saying.
Temp’la are known to speak in all the languages of Legonia, always pairing their words though. Their Language varies on where they live, so the Temp’la living near the river elves will speak elfish. They have their own language, all Temp’la learn and practice it, yet it is not spoken commonly so no other race has learnt it, only a couple of elves have learnt the basics.
Military
The Temp’lar now has one thousand soldiers ready, and at least two thousand more if needed. Temp’la soldiers are known to normally wield the trident, but also specialize in other weapons such as the pike and sword.
Elemental stone of Water
Somehow they have found one of the eight magical stones, and keep it as a sacred object, aware of its power. The stone has the power of water, and it keeps their Lakeland in peace and prosperity. This stone seems to be the magical power holding the center lake in a perfect circle.
