Skorpia Hazard was the former capitol of the Ark'tohl Empire and is one of the seven heptarchial residents in the Skorpion Emirates today. Skorpia Hazard is one of the oldest human settlements at the bay of Ark'tohl. The heptarch controls most military decissions and reforms, so important warrior academies were build in the city.

History

Started as small settlement in the early 2nd century, Skorpia Hazard grew quickly due to its position near the fruitful coastlines. In the 1520's Skorpias popolation grew immensively and hunger threatened its citizen. But Emperor Ark'kala started big reforms to reorganize the wild structured settlement. After the outer farms produced more and more food and poor castes were banished to the slums, the city quarters inside the new walls were structured very effective and giant stone builds raised up to the sky. There's no other metropole in South Legonia that can be compared to it today.

Structure

The city is split in 3 sections which have own quarters specified to their social status and economical use.

The Outer settlements

The fields and settlements around the city are low-populated and take the biggest area. Mostly merchants and farm owners live here in smaller houses. The area consists of

  • The corn & vegetable farms
  • Dinosaur ranches
  • The manifactures
  • Military training fields


The city

Inside the big city walls, many big stone houses in sandstone-yellow, white and black colours are build next to each other. Only richer people live but most citizen work here.

Heptarch's quarter

In the luxury quarter north of the central places, the giant heptarch and the Ark'kala palaces are build. Many nobles, warlords, priests and rich merchants have own villas, palm gardens and small palaces here. Entrance is only allowed for the high caste and a few visitors but more than 1000 guards patrouilling the streets.

The Central

In the central quarter, most tradings of the Skorpion Emirates are done. Near official places, the Arkos temple, the high academy of the Army and the famous Market of 1000 spices can be found. Also the Arkos Arena invites rich citizen to watch gladiator fights and art shows. The central is also ful of beautiful palm hains, gardens and fountains.

Ark'Onyx

Also known as "stonegrave" because of its simplified architecture, the more ugly part of the inner city hold Skorpias supplies. Big storehouses hold goods and corn, water reservoirs support the many fountains and gardens. But also the graveyards can be found in this area. Some people also say, thief guild build their headquarters in Ark'Onyx.

The Slums

Outside the city walls, the southern regions are peopled by the caste-less people, outlaws, low workers and slaves. Mostly Ba'tohlians created their own secret communities here.

Celebrities

Between 1520 and 1546 o.C. Emperor Ark'kala lived in his palace. Until 1614 o.C. the palace was used by his family. One of the seven heptarchs is living in the city today, and can be found with his family in his palace most time.
