Demongods are the opponents of the first beeings in Legonias cosmology and defined by being immortal almighty entities which intention is the end of all life on Legonia. They're the lords of all demons and demonologists.

Origin

In earliest time, when the big something created the first gods, the idea of good and evil developed because all the individual beings became jealous of each other and not all were ready to make compromises. When the gods noticed, that their quarries threatened the balance of the world, they seperated their dark sides. What they didn't know, was that these parts of their personality were so strong that all the evil thoughts became new, own beeings. The gods tried to become perfect but the price was the creation of a new group of immortal beeings. The demongods.

After the gods had created the first races, also the demongods wanted to rule over own species. But they didn't accepted the rules of the god's sphere and were banished very soon. On Legonia a war began between gods and demongods, between godly creations and demons. While the epic battle the world Legonia was split into several continents and giant floods created new oceans. After, the demongods lost and was prisoned in an own sphere, which is locked behind a demon portal. Legends assume it somewhere in Dragonia Vulcania. The followers of the demongods are mostly prisoned in different spheres or at special places on Legonia. But some were able to escape and are searching for followers. Most known are the Blood Wraith and many black mages. The only intelligent races who survived on the god's side were the white elves and the first dwarves, but noone of them remembered the epic war.

The endless war

The demongods always try to escape their prisons by manipulating mortal beeings. Their goal is to conquer the living world back, to destroy the races created by the gods and start their own rulement in a new world. 1648 o.C. in theBattle at the Demon Portal they nearly succeeded to break the demon portal with help of the black mage and his black army but finally failed. Until today, demon whorshipping conspiracies are one of the biggest menaces for legonian cultures, though not many know about them.

Known Demongods

Forgotten in past, most facts about demon names, origins and organization is unknown. A few high mages assume a first evil god made of the bad sides of the big something itself as leader of all demongods. But it's highly possible that they are so evil that alliances wouldn't hold for long and betrayal between them is a daily business.
